Taeyeon

Are you ready to complete the Girls' Generation posts?

Taeyeon was born on March 9, 1989. She is the leader and main vocalist of Girls' Generation. Her voice is amazing (just listen to her version of Hush Hush)! Taeyeon is generally considered to be the most popular member of SNSD.

Like Seohyun, Taeyeon was also in We Got Married. Her partner was Hyung Don which many people were upset about (although I thought they were a funny couple ^_^). Taeyeon has also been the DJ for various radio shows, and was also the voice of Margo in the Korean version of Despicable Me.

Queen Taeyeon

Taeyeon was the lead in a Korean production of the play Midnight Sun and she got great reviews for her acting. She has also participated in many drama soundtracks. I think we can expect a lot from leader Taeyeon in the future ^_^

Now for one of my all time favorite SNSD songs-- Gee! This song is so catchy and will be stuck in your head after you listen to it the first time! I love trying to dance the "crab dance" with this song, and it's also one that I've sung at noraebang before!

We have finally met all the members from Girls' Generation. Did you enjoy learning about them? Are you ready and excited for their American debut now? Who's your favorite member?

Jessica

Now that we're back to the SNSD posts, let's find out about Jessica!

Jessica was born on April 18, 1989 in San Francisco. In addition to being fluent in English and Korean she can also speak Japanese and Chinese. She was the first girl to be chosen to be in SNSD. She joined SM Entertainment in 2000, so she spent about 7 years training before she debuted. Can you imagine spending that long training when you are so young?!

Jessica is one of the main singers of the group. She has done some modeling work, including a campaign for Dior with some of her members. She was also in a Korean production of Legally Blonde in 2009 as Elle Woods. Also in 2009 she took part in an episode of Infinity Challenge where she sung a popular duet with Park Myung Soo, Naeng Myung.

One fun fact about Jessica is that her sister is Krystal from f(x)! What a talented family! We will probably be seeing a lot of Jessica because she seems to be one of the main girls in charge of their English interviews ^_^

Since there is no music video for the Korean version of Mr. Taxi I've decided to include a performance of it. Mr. Taxi was released earlier this year as a Japanese single, and the Korean version was released on The Boys. I've really been enjoying this song, and I hope you enjoy their performance of it ^_^

Before I go, I thought I'd share with everyone something I have planned~ On November 19, SNSD is supposed to released their English "maxi-single" to stores in America. Because of this a friend and I are planning on having a SNSD party that day ^_^ We will be eating at a grill table restaurant after buying our maxi singles, and we are currently debating on whether we should buy or make shirts. Does anyone know where to buy some cute SNSD shirts? Everything is going to be pink this day! If you cannot join us in Michigan, maybe you could have your own Girls' Generation party! I'd love to hear about it if you do have one!

Brooklyn Boy

Sorry to interrupt your regularly scheduled SNSD post, but this could not wait! You may have remembered me posting before about how upset I was that T.O.P. was in NYC and I was not. Well, the pictures and video from his time there just came out and I need to share them with you.

The concept of the shoot is Brooklyn Boy. Sorry Dan Humphrey, you just lost your title of best Brooklyn Boy. Let's enjoy T.O.P. as a Brooklyn Boy~

If that doesn't make your heart go dugeun dugeun than I don't know what will! Everything about this video is flawless, his hair, the clothes, the backdrop, his voice....I could go on and on!

And I'll share some pictures from the shoot with you as well...

You're welcome ^_~

Sunny

I'm sitting at the computer lab at school waiting for my partner to get here (she's currently about five minutes late), I decided to try and squeeze in my next Girls' Generation post ^_^ Today it's Sunny's turn~

Sunny who is always cute!
Sunny was born on May 15, 1989 in L.A.! However, when she was very young she moved to Kuwait. After living there for a few years her family moved to South Korea. Sunny is one of the main singers of the group, and is known for her vocal range.

Sunny is actually the niece of the founder of SM Entertainment, however she did most of her training through other agencies and joined SM shortly before her debut in SNSD. Sunny has some MC experience, and she was also on Invincible Youth. When the new season of Invincible Youth starts, Sunny will once again be part of the cast.

Sunny is known for her cute behavior (you may remember the clip I posted of her in my aegyo post ^_^). Because of this, many people were shocked to see her with short hair when The Boys came out. However, Sunny recently said that her short hair is only a wig. I like her short hair, but I tend to like longer hair in general (although Sunny looks great either way!).

I love, love, love Oh! The girls are all so cute in the video, as well as when they are singing. This song is really catchy and will get stuck in your head. I think it is a great choice for noraebang ^_^

My partner is still not here, she is twenty minutes late now~  어떡해?!

Tiffany

With this post we will now be familiar with two thirds of Girls' Generation! What do you think of the girls so far? Today it's Tiffany's turn!

Tiffany was born on August 1, 1989 in California (Yay~ I love it when Korean-Americans become successful in Korea)! She went to elementary and middle school in California before joining SM Entertainment and moving to Korea. Because of this Tiffany is fluent in English as well as Korean. She can also speak Japanese and Chinese.

Often times Tiffany is referred to to as Fany. Like some of her other members, Tiffany has also had experience being the MC of various TV programs. In addition to her MC duties, she has also released a few songs part of drama OSTs.

Starting towards the end of November, Tiffany will make her musical debut in a Korean production of Fame. She will be playing the role of Carmen Diaz. Let's wish Tiffany good luck with her musical ^_^

The SNSD MV I'm sharing today is Chocolate Love. It is actually an advertisement for a cell phone, but this song ended up being a hit! I think it's pretty cute and it is an easy song to sing along with. The girls look cute no matter what they do ^_^

Hyoyeon

Today let's learn about SNSD's Hyoyeon!

Hyoyeon was born on September 22, 1989. She auditioned for SM Entertainment when she was very young. Apparently she didn't have much desire to become an entertainer, however her mother took her to the audition in the hopes of meeting H.O.T. who were signed to SM Entertainment!

Hyoyeon is the lead dancer of Girls' Generation. She started dancing at a young age and has worked with many choreographers including one who also worked with Justin Timberlake! She has danced with BoA and was also part of a dance group with Miss A's Min.

Through SM Entertainment, Hyoyeon was sent to China in 2004 with fellow SM employee Choi Siwon to study Mandarin. I'm so jealous of people who can speak more than one language (and people who get to learn their second language with Siwon)!

Here's another SNSD song that I adore! This is such a fun song to sing (and dance) along with! There's also an English version of this song sung by Ke$ha as a demo before she gave it to Girls' Generation.  I think it's amazing how many amazing songs that SNSD has!  ^_^

Yuri

Are you ready to learn about another SNSD member? Today let's learn about Yuri!

Yuri is so charming~

Yuri was born on December 5, 1989. She joined SM entertainment in 2001 and spent nearly six years training before Girls' Generation debuted. In 2008 Yuri finished high school and now she is attending Chung-Ang university with Sooyoung and Big Bang's Seungri (I'm so jealous~ I wish I could go to university with Seungri too~).

Like Sooyoung, Yuri has also been the MC for various TV programs. Right now she is the MC of Music Core with Tiffany. She also was on the variety show Invincible Youth with Sunny. She's also done some modeling, including one campaign with Daniel Henney (lucky girl)!

Another talent Yuri possesses is song writing! From SNSD's Hoot album, she wrote the lyrics for the song Mistake. I wish I could write something like that ^_^

Genie is one of my absolute favorite songs from SNSD. It's a song I really love to sing along with in the car. Haven't we all wanted to be genie for someone? Or have someone be genie for us (like Yong Hwa~ hehe)? The girls dancing is really shown in this video also. Enjoy~

Sooyoung

On to my next Girls' Generation post ^_^ Have you been listening to The Boys as much as I have? I'm really enjoying it so far! I can't wait to hear more of their English stuff!

The next member I'm introducing to you is Sooyoung!

The cute Sooyoung

Sooyoung was born February 10, 1990. She is the fourth lead dancer, and the sixth lead vocalist of the group. Before joining SNSD she released a couple of singles in Japan with the group Route 0. She has also had a successful modeling career.

Like many of her other members, Sooyoung has also done some acting. She has been in the dramas Oh My Lady! and Paradise Ranch. In addition to acting, she has also been the host of various TV shows as well as co-hosting a radio show with Sungmin from Super Junior.

Looking gorgeous!

More recently, Sooyoung was involved in a car accident and had to halt her activities with SNSD for a little while. Luckily it was not too serious and she is back with the rest of Girls' Generation again ^_^

One of my favorite SNSD videos is Hoot. The girls were doing their Hoot promotions right around the time I was getting really interested in them. I love the dance (I even do it in the car)! And don't we all love the added bonus of Siwon from Super Junior in the video?

Yoona

I have a bit of time before I leave for class so here is my next So Nyo Shi Dae Post ^_^

The Beautiful Yoona~

Yoona was born May 30, 1990. She is known as the "image" of Girls Generation because she is considered to be the most beautiful member in the group. Due to this she is often placed in the center of pictures and dance choreography.

Yoona is a supporting vocalist, and is the third main dancer of the group. In addition to her activities with SNSD, she is also an actress! She has been in multiple dramas so far, with her acting debut in 9 Ends, 2 Outs. However, I'm greatly anticipating Yoona's next drama Love Rain. It is supposed to start airing in early 2012. Yoona is the lead female, and the lead male is going to be played by Jang Geun Suk!

Yoona looks so fierce in her teaser picture, doesn't she? I think it's safe to say that we can expect tons of great things from her in the future ^_^

The SNSD music video I'm leaving you with today is their newest release-- (that's right!) The Boys! This is the English version and it is stunning! I've already watched it a few times (it was just released about thirty minutes ago) and I love it! Let's all support Girls Generation with their American debut!!!!!

Seo Hyun

I don't know about all of you, but words cannot express my excitement in regards to the upcoming American debut of Girls' Generation! I plan on rushing to the store the day their mini-album is released here, and I am even planning on having a SNSD party in honor of their debut! I know I've made a Girls' Generation post in the past, but I thought I should take more time to introduce the girls to you. My plan is to make a post about each girl before their American promotions begin so you can have a better idea of who Girls' Generation is ^_^ Let's begin!

SeoHyun

Seo Hyun is the insanely gorgeous maknae (or youngest member) of SNSD. She was born on June 28, 1991. She is considered to be one of the main vocalists of the group (I love her performance of Sixteen Going on Seventeen -- girl is so talented!). She can play the piano, and has recently learned guitar (thanks to Yong Hwa ^_^).

If you've been reading my blog, than you should already know that Seo Hyun was on We Got Married with Yong Hwa from CN Blue. On the show we got to see her transform from a shy girl to a caring girlfriend. Seo Hyun is known for being intelligent and extremely well spoken. She spends a decent part of her free time reading.

SeoHyun's teaser pic for The Boys

Due to how smart and kind Seo Hyun is (for one of her dates on We Got Married she chose to donate blood with Yong Hwa) she was recently chosen to be a UNICEF envoy and released a charity song with Donghae from Super Junior Dreams Come True in honor of this (it really sounds like a song that could be used in one of the parades at Magic Kingdom). Seo Hyun also recently became one of the faces of The Face Shop with Kim Hyun Joong and her ad campaign should be out sometime this month.

I'm going to leave you with SNSD's first single, Into the New World. They first performed this in 2007, and watching the video you can really see how much they've grown and changed since then! Let's all anticipate great things from Seo Hyun and the rest of SNSD!

Some Of My Favorite MVs

Hello Everyone~ Once again I want to apologize for how slow I am at updating. School recently has been crazy, not to mention my work schedule ㅠ_ㅠ However I think after Tuesday I'll be done with most of my homework for about a month or so ^_^ Another reason for my slowness at blogging is that I've had quite a few Korean experiences in the past week. At the food and wine festival at EPCOT I got to have some bulgogi, kimchi, and bek se ju. On Tuesday and Wednesday this past week I went to Korean restaurants for dinner! Tuesday I went with my cousin (who is half Korean) and we got mackerel, dukbokki (so amazing!), and bi bim bap. Wednesday we ate at a grill table restaurant so we got to eat delicious meat!

I'm also insanely happy right now because after months (and months, and months!) of searching I've finally found myself a Korean tutor! That's right, I found someone to give me private lessons! I will meet with her for about an hour a week to start and our first session will be this Wednesday. Hopefully I'll become much more proficient in my writing, reading, and speaking skills soon ^_^

Now onto the good stuff, I wanted to share with everyone a few of my favorite Music Videos. This is always hard for me since I love so many, but here are a few particularly good ones--

CN Blue - Love Girl

CN Blue is so super cute in this video! I don't know how they manage to look so cute while being such creepers, but they definitely pull it off. I wish that 2PM and GD&TOP would come out of the posters on my wall like CN Blue does here!

Super Junior - Sorry Sorry

It must be extremely difficult to create a MV where every member in a group this large gets screen time, but I think they do a pretty good job here. Super Junior shows off what great dancers they are, and I will admit to watching the dance version of this MV multiple times to try and learn this dance hehe.

2PM - Hands Up

2PM shows how handsome they are and you really feel like going to party with them. Even though they do not have their beastly image in this MV as they do in others, this video always makes me want to get up and dance (OK~ and have a drink too ^_~). It's good to watch this MV before you go out!

SNSD - Gee

Put this MV in the category of videos that I've watched over and over in order to try and learn the dance. We get to see how cute everyone is in Girls Generation as well as how well they can dance. Who wants to learn this dance with me so we can do it at noraebang next time?

Beast - Fiction

I really love when MVs tell a story as well as feature dancing. This definitely does both extremely well. Every member looks really handsome here and they all do a great job of showing emotion. I love it!

f(x) - Hot Summer

I have no idea how these girls manage to look cute yet so fierce at the same time, I want to learn their secret! This video is great to watch during the summer (obviously) but I think it will also be good to watch during the cold winter months when we are wishing for a hot summer!

Taeyang - Wedding Dress

Taeyang looks amazing in this video! His dancing is perfection, and I must admit to nearly being in tears every time I watch this. The story of the song is portrayed extremely well in the video. Hopefully we will get to see more videos like this from Taeyang in the future!

And now for my all time favorite MV.....

GD&TOP - Baby Good Night

I cannot even begin to express my love and adoration of this MV to you. I've probably watched it at least once a week since it came out. A still of it is currently the background on my computer. G-Dragon and T.O.P. look so good I feel like swooning! They both somehow manage to look so innocent and pure as well as really enjoying the company of the girl that they are with. I would love to drink champagne and eat strawberries with TOP! This video will just hypnotize you! You should let this video load at 1080p and take a break from work ^_~ If you only watch one video on this list, please watch this one, I promise you that you will fall in love!

Thank you for taking the time to read this ^_^ I hope you enjoyed it! I'm really looking forward to getting to blog about all the new K-Pop that's about to come out in the near future (SNSD [ENGLISH ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!], Jun K, Kim Hyun Joong, and Wonder Girls, my oh my)!
